Sowing and germination

Grevillea seeds are flat, with a thin membranous wing along the edge, ripen in leathery leaflets of two each. It is impractical to soak such flat seeds, so the substrate itself is disinfected: before sowing, it is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and dried. Scarification and stratification are not required. Sowing is carried out with an interval of 2-3 cm between seeds, with minimal seeding. The substrate is made up of 1 part leaf soil, half part turf, half part humus and 1 part sand, or take a universal soil with the addition of river sand and vermiculite. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a solution of a growth stimulator: SUPERthrive, HB-101, Aminozol, Epin or Zircon, covered with a film or placed in a greenhouse and germinated in the light at a temperature not lower than 18-20°C.
