Sowing and germination

Crassula seeds are very small, almost dusty, and ripen in dry multi-leaflets. It is not advisable to soak such seeds, so the substrate itself is disinfected: before sowing, it is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and dried. Scarification and stratification are not required. Sowing is carried out superficially in a shallow container, in a sandy substrate, the seeds are pre-mixed with the top layer of sand. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a solution of a growth stimulator: SUPERthrive, HB-101, Aminozol, Epin or Zircon, covered with glass or film, or placed in a greenhouse and germinated in the light at a temperature of 17-21°C. Under favorable conditions, the first shoots appear within 1-2 weeks, the main germination is completed within a month, and individual seeds may linger longer. Crops are regularly ventilated; overmoistening and drying out are unacceptable.
