Sowing and germination

Oophytum seeds are very small, dark, light-sensitive: they germinate poorly in the dark. It is impractical to soak such small seeds, so the substrate itself is disinfected: before sowing, it is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and dried. Scarification and stratification are not required. Sowing is carried out superficially, without embedding: the seeds need light. The best time for sowing is autumn, at the beginning of the natural growth period. A sterile, fine-grained mineral substrate with a top layer of washed sand is used. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a solution of a seed-safe growth stimulant according to its label directions, seed-safe growth stimulant, seed-safe growth stimulant, seed-safe growth stimulant or seed-safe growth stimulant, covered with a transparent lid or placed in a greenhouse and germinated in bright diffused light and a temperature of 18-24°C, without overheating in direct sun.
