Sowing and germination

Tabebuia seeds are flat, with a wide thin transparent wing, they lose germination quickly, so they are sown as fresh as possible. The wing is not removed before sowing; the seeds are soaked for 6-12 hours in warm water or in a solution of a growth stimulator: balanced plant vitamin supplement, natural plant growth stimulant, amino-acid plant fertilizer, anti-stress adaptogen solution or root development stimulant. Scarification and stratification are not required. Sowing is carried out in a sterile loose substrate of peat and sand, the seeds are only slightly pressed into the surface and sprinkled with a thin layer. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle, covered with a transparent lid or placed in a greenhouse and germinated at a temperature of 25-30°C. Shoots appear quickly, after 5-14 days. Crops are ventilated daily, condensation is removed, waterlogging is unacceptable: seedlings are easily killed by blackleg.
