Sowing and germination
Seeds are soaked for 6-12 hours in a weak solution of potassium permanganate or fungicide with the addition of a seed-safe growth stimulant according to its label directions, then sown superficially in a moist, loose substrate consisting of sand, peat, perlite and sprinkled with a layer of soil. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle, placed in a greenhouse or covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun, at a temperature of 22-28°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. Under favorable conditions, the first shoots appear in 15-25 days. The maximum germination period can be more than 40 days. Picking is carried out when 2-3 true leaves appear in separate pots with a light substrate and drainage.
