Sowing and germination

Seeds are soaked for 6–12 hours in a weak solution of potassium permanganate or fungicide with the addition of a seed-safe growth stimulant according to its label directions, then sown superficially in a moist, loose substrate consisting of sand, peat, perlite and sprinkled with a layer of soil. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle, placed in a greenhouse or covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun, at a temperature of 22-28°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. Under favorable conditions, the first shoots appear in 15–25 days. The maximum germination period can be more than 40 days. Picking is carried out when 2-3 true leaves appear in separate pots with a light substrate and drainage.
