Sowing and germination

Sown from August to March superficially in a pre-prepared mixture of peat and sand with a neutral reaction. The crops are covered with glass or film to maintain the microclimate. Shoots will appear in a month at the optimal temperature for germination of 18-20°C. When the seedlings reach a height of 2-3 cm, they are planted in 7-9 cm pots. Recommended substrate: turf, leaf, peat soil, sand in the proportion (4: 2: 2: 1). Since seedlings grow for quite a long time, fertilizing with a high nitrogen content is carried out. A month after picking, in the summer months and favorable weather, the seedlings can be taken outside or provided with constant ventilation. Callistemon is very light-loving, so it should only be placed on a sunny windowsill. Special notes: The seeds are extremely small!
