Capsicum ANNUUM 'DALLE KHURSANI' - Dalle Khursani chili pepper, Capsicum annuum 'Dalle Khursani', cherry pepper, vegetable pepper, chili pepper.
Capsicum or chili pepper is a genus of annual and perennial plants in the family Solanaceae, growing naturally in South and Central America. It has no relation to the true genus of peppers from the family Piperaceae, except for the name. The genus is represented by shrubs and semi-shrubs 20-120 cm (8-47 in) tall, reaching 3 m (10 ft) and more in protected ground. The leaves are entire, with entire margins. Flowers are in stem forks, solitary or paired, sometimes in clusters; primary colors are white and violet, plain or with violet or creamy-yellow markings. Stems are both smooth and pubescent.
Capsicum annuum 'DALLE KHURSANI' possesses some of the hottest pods among chili peppers. It grows only in the state of Sikkim in northeastern India and in the vicinity of the town of Darjeeling in the Himalayas. Round, bright red ripe fruits resemble a cherry in size and color. Hence the name cherry pepper.
