Aloe GREENII - Green's Aloe.
Aloe is a genus of very popular succulent plants belonging to the Asphodelaceae family. This genus contains approximately 400 species and includes a large number of plants that possess fleshy, very juicy leaves with fairly soft spines located along them. There are shrubby, tree-like, herbaceous forms, as well as lianas. In the wild, aloe can be encountered in Africa, with a large number of species growing on the Arabian Peninsula and in Madagascar. Translated from Arabic, "aloe" means "bitter".
These plants have moderately sized tubular flowers, typically colored red, orange, white, or yellow. The flowers sit on an elongate peduncle in a terminal multi-flowered raceme. Indoors, it practically never blooms. Aloe lives in a flower pot for 5-20 years, for which it is also known as the "century plant".
Virtually all cultivated species of aloe are suitable for indoor keeping and can even be used to green children's rooms. It is frequently used as a "home doctor". The plant is very unpretentious, and problems related to its care generally never occur. This plant can easily endure a lack of light, moisture, as well as warmth. Species that were once rarely cultivated now increasingly adorn winter gardens. The century plant will make an excellent addition when composing arrangements that include slow-growing plants.

The leaves are lanceolate, light green with white oblong spots merging into indistinct rows. The margins are spiny-dentate; spines are horn-shaped with a brownish-red apex, 0.3-0.5 cm (0.12-0.2 in) long. The peduncle is 50-70 cm (20-28 in) tall, with short racemes.
