Sowing and germination
The olive's germination rate is not very high, so it is worth preparing more planting material. Before sowing, the seeds are kept for 12-24 hours in warm water using solutions of fertilizers or stimulants. Next, they are sown in the sand mixture to a depth of 1-2 times the diameter of the seed. The process must take place at room temperature. Germinate under film for 4-5 months in a warm, bright place. For rapid germination, the seeds are first disinfected, then scarified, soaked for 6-8 hours and sown using standard technology. In this case, the first shoots can be obtained within one and a half to two months. Seedlings dive into separate containers at the stage of 2-4 true leaves. It will take another three to four months for the root system to fully form. Only after this will it be possible to transplant the trees to permanent places.
