Sowing and germination

Seeds are first scarified (the outer shell of the seed is carefully damaged with a file or knife) and soaked for 24-48 hours in warm water with the addition of stimulants (SUPERthrive, HB-101, Aminozol, Epin or Zircon), then sown in any mixture based on peat and inert disintegrants, moistened with spray bottle, placed in a greenhouse or covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun, at a temperature not lower than 22-25°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. Seeds germinate in 4 to 6 weeks. When germinating seeds in the autumn-winter period, it makes sense to use additional artificial lighting. The seedlings are picked after 7-10 days after the appearance of the first leaf into pots with a substrate of appropriate soil and sand. After picking, the sprouts are watered abundantly and placed in a well-lit place.
