Sowing and germination
Seed material first needs to be stratified. To do this, the seeds are wrapped in a damp cloth, placed in a plastic bag or container and placed in a cold place, for example, in the door of a refrigerator. The temperature during stratification should be within 1-5°C. The seeds remain in this state for at least a month. Then the seeds are sown in a mixture of sand and peat, moistened with a spray bottle, placed in a greenhouse or covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun, at a temperature of 20-23°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. In the spring, when the threat of frost has passed, young plants can be planted in a well-lit place, loosening the soil and applying fertilizing.
