Sowing and germination

After destroying the thick pericarp, the seeds are soaked for 12 hours in water, then dried in the sun for 12 hours. The procedure is repeated 10-14 times, the last soaking occurs in warm water then they are sown in small pots filled with coarse peat with a sandy layer on top to a depth of 10 cm. The fastest seedlings may appear in 15-30 days, but a significant part of the seeds do not germinate during the first year; germination can take up to 3 years. Sprouted seedlings grow rapidly, and in the first years you have to carefully monitor them.
