Sowing and germination
The seeds are first carefully scarified: the shell is mechanically damaged with a file, sandpaper on a soft cloth, or by grinding with coarse sand or gravel. Prepared seeds are soaked for 10 minutes in a weak solution of potassium permanganate, then sown in a sterilized substrate consisting of leaf soil (completely rotted), washed river sand and finely crushed charcoal in a ratio of 1:1:1/2 with good drainage. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle, covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun, at a temperature of 20-25°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. After the seeds germinate, they are planted in containers of appropriate size, and the next replanting takes place next year. Only when the seedling reaches 2 years of age can it be cared for like adult plants, but it must be gradually accustomed to the conditions of care.
