Sowing and germination
Seeds are pre-soaked in water for 2 days, then stratified in damp sand at +4°C for 10–15 days. Then they are sown one at a time in separate pots with a damp mixture of peat and sand, with the addition of charcoal. Cover the top with sphagnum and germinate at a temperature of 20–22°C. Crops are regularly sprayed and ventilated. Germination begins after 10 days, mass shoots appear within 30 days. The maximum germination period can be more than 60 days. After the appearance of a bunch of needles, the seedlings are pricked or, if they were planted one at a time, grown until they entangle the roots of the earthen coma.
