Sowing and germination

Before sowing, the seeds are scarified and soaked in warm water until slightly swollen. Sow in any loose, well-drained mixture and germinate under film at t=22-26°C. Properly prepared seeds usually germinate within 2-3 weeks. **Seeding option No. 2: ** The seeds are enclosed in a very hard shell, which is scarified or softened (by dousing with boiling water or acid) before soaking in water, then soaked for 1-2 days in warm water, and then the shell is removed before planting in the ground. Properly treated seeds usually germinate within 1-2 weeks, otherwise germination may take several months.
