Sowing and germination
Seeds remain viable for a long time if stored in a cold room at a temperature of 4-5°C. At home, the seeds are placed in the refrigerator. In our store, seeds are stored in a cold environment. A pre-treatment called scarification is necessary to modify the hard seed coat and increase the likelihood of uniform germination. To do this, the seeds are placed in a container with water at room temperature for 24 hours or dipped in hot (80-90°C) water for 30 seconds. Seeds are sown superficially in a loose substrate and covered with a layer of soil 1-1.5 cm thick, moistened with a spray bottle, covered with film and germinated in low light, not in the sun, at a temperature of 22-27°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. Seed germination begins 3-5 days after sowing, when the root appears and the cotyledons open.
