Sowing and germination

Seeds are sown on the surface of a light, breathable mixture of 2 parts perlite and 1 part coconut fiber or peat, covered with a thin layer of soil, moistened with a spray bottle, placed in a greenhouse or covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun at a temperature of 20-25 ° C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. The seeds should begin to germinate in 4-6 weeks and continue to germinate for another month. Temperatures below those recommended can slow down germination, and prolonged exposure of seeds to temperatures above 27°C can destroy the crop. At the stage of appearance of 2-3 true leaves, seedlings are picked into separate pots.
