Sowing and germination
Before planting, the seeds need moist stratification, for which they are mixed with wet sand and placed for 6 months in a cold environment with a temperature of 3-5°C. Every 2 weeks the seeds are mixed and the sand is moistened. after which they are soaked for 12-24 hours in warm water, then sown in a light, breathable mixture at 1-3 cm, moistened with a spray bottle, placed in a greenhouse or covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun at a temperature of 18-20°C. A nighttime drop in temperature to 10°C stimulates germination well. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. Seeds have a strong genetic memory and can lie for a long time, waiting for a favorable period, so you should not get rid of the crops before that very favorable time. Seedlings become suitable for planting after 4-5 months.
