Sowing and germination

Before sowing, it is recommended to carry out scarification - carefully sawing off the dense shell to speed up germination. The seeds are soaked in warm water for 12–24 hours. Sowing is carried out in a loose, well-drained substrate with the addition of sand and vermiculite, superficially or with a depth of no more than 0.5 cm. The containers are covered with a transparent lid or film. Regular ventilation and stable temperature within 20–25°C are ensured. Shoots appear after 20–30 days, in some cases later. After the formation of 2–3 pairs of true shoots, picking is carried out. The seedlings are carefully transplanted into separate containers with a similar substrate, sufficient lighting and moderate watering are provided.
