Sowing and germination

No soaking required. Sowing is carried out in a light succulent substrate made of sand and leaf soil with the addition of perlite. The seeds scatter over the surface, slightly pressing against the substrate. The crops are covered with a transparent lid or film. The temperature is maintained between 22–28°C. Regular ventilation and maintaining moderate humidity are necessary. Shoots appear within 7–21 days. The maximum germination period can be more than 30 days. Picking is carried out after the appearance of 2-3 true spines; it is recommended to transplant into individual containers with the same substrate.
